5月30日至6月4日期间，英国Coventry大学Richard J. Bateman教授应复杂网络与可视化实验室邀请来我校开始为期一周的学术交流与访问，进行了多场报告，活跃了实验室学术氛围。

        报告涵盖：“3D printing technology, processes and problems”、“Devolved manufacturing: a novel approach and Implementation methodology for mass customization”、“Innovative uses of 3D printing technology in mass customisation”、“The development of rapid prototyping technology in innovative design”、“Higher Education in the UK: a view from the inside 以及“Organization and operation mechanism of Makerspace”等多个方面。

        Bateman教授就报告涉及的三维打印技术、快速成型技术、英国高等教育等进行讲解，并与参见报告会的师生进行交流和互动。
